Yesterday was a very busy day work-wise, and I was exhausted from the weekend. I have so much respect for single moms who raise kids by themselves because being with a boisterous 10-year-old for the past few days really opened my eyes to how much energy it takes to take care of them.
I went grocery shopping for my friend who just had her baby, and her 10-year-old wanted to come with. Although her mom lectured her about asking for unnecessary items, she still proceeded to show me everything in the store that she wanted. Lesson: If I ever have kids, I will probably never take them grocery shopping. They can stay home with Dad.
